Absorbacide® Proven Effective as a Natural Grain Insecticide

A comprehensive study by the Queensland Department of Primary Industries (2015) tested Absorbacide® against five major grain storage pests. The goal: to compare its performance with other diatomaceous earths (DEs), including the widely used Dryacide®.

Key Findings

  • Absorbacide® matched Dryacide® in performance, providing high-level protection for stored grains and treated surfaces.

  • Effective against all key grain pests including weevils, borers, beetles, and moths.

  • Delivered 84%+ suppression of the notoriously resistant Rhyzopertha dominica (lesser grain borer).

  • 100% mortality of insects achieved within 10–13 days when used as a surface treatment.

  • Confirmed to be highly effective as both a grain protectant and surface dust, even under challenging conditions.

Why It Matters

Absorbacide® proves to be a natural, chemical-free alternative to traditional insecticides, backed by scientific research. It provides long-term protection, is safe for food commodities, and is certified for organic use.
